Creating a Query

Version 1.0.0

To create a query, select the folder in the administration, in which the query is to be created. Then click on the Add query icon.

In the first step, you specify the query name and the query description, and in the second step you can define the fields which are to be displayed. To do this, move the fields from left column into the right window by drag&drop. The ticket ID and the heading are already inserted by default. With the Sorting box, it is possible to define an ascending or descending sort order of the fields.

7.2.2.1 - Filter

Now you can define various filters in a third step. To do this, move a filter from the left side to the right side on to the OR, AND or NOT-operators by drag&drop. You can also interrelate the operators to create an operator in line, e.g. with X OR (Y AND Z). For example, if you move a requirement to an already existing AND requirement, a composite AND relation is created between these two conditions. If another AND-operator is created, it is in an OR-relation to the existing AND operator. For a detailed description of the different filter types, see Create a new query.

Note:

When using the filter "Time recording - total duration", make sure to specify the time in minutes.

7.2.2.1 - Sicherheit

In the penultimate step, you can define the user or the group, which are to have certain rights in this query. For example there are the rights Edit, Execute and View. The right "Execute" also includes the right to view the results. View means that the query is actually visible or hidden.

Possible rights are the options Allow (green checkmark), Ban (red circle) and Neutral (empty box). The Ban option ranks highest. For example, if a group is not permitted to run the query, yet explicitly permits one user of this group to run the query, this user will neverthelees not be able to run the query.

A neutral right is always based on other assigned rights. For example, if a user is granted a right to perform a certain action by a group, and if such user is granted a neutral right, he shall be granted this right by the group. This is useful if a user participates in several groups, and if it is difficult to keep an overview of the various group rights.

Via the buttons Add and Remove you can include already existing groups and users, and then assign or withdraw rights to them.

Furthermore, you can still select a query icon in the last step. By means of the icons in the top bar, you also have the option to use your own icons, to rename existing icons or to delete them. *.bmp and *.ico files are supported as formats for own icons. Icons should not exceed the size of 16x16 pixels, as otherwise only a correspondingly large portion of the original file will be used. The new icon will be integrated into the ACMP.

Now click on Finished to save your query.
