Version 1.0.4

To change the settings for the various tasks, double-click on the corresponding task or the task information. The following dialog opens:

4.3.4 - 01-EinstellungenÄndern

Client Task: Initial conditions

In this dialog, you can first determine if the task is active or inactive. You can do this with the Activated selection box. In the pull-down menu you can set if the container assignment Never or After the task is to be activated.

In this connection, an aside: Computers can be assigned dynamically to containers (see Containers). In doing so, computers can be included in or even removed from a container according to certain specifications. This assignment is similar to filtering a query. With the help of Update container assignment, you can indicate whether you want to perform a check if the computer is still in the right container and remove it afterwards, if necessary. This can happen Never or After the task.

Start ACMP agent

In this case, the task runs when the ACMP agent starts. This can occur after booting the computer or after a restart - also specified by client tasks - be restarting the computer. In the next step you can determine if the task will be executed only once. If you checkmark the correct box, the task will be deactivated after it was executed once.

The task will run after a user has logged into the system. In the next step you can determine if the task will be executed only once. If you checkmark the correct box, the task will be deactivated after it was executed once.

Hinweis

Note:

It may happen that a client task will not run after login, if the user logs in before the ACMP client is started. To prevent this behaviour, a dependency on the ACMP client service can be assigned to the Windows user profile service.

To this end, a corresponding entry must be made in the "DependOnService" value of the "ProfSvc" key in the registry. Enter "ACMPClient" in a new row under the existing entries.

This problem is solved in the ACMP 4.0.4 version.

Achtung

Caution:

Make sure to remove the dependency again, before you close or uninstall the ACMP client service.

Specific time

With this option, the task will always run at a specified time. This time is displayed in the usual 24-hour format. After entering the desired time, click Finish to apply the settings.

4.3.4 - 03-BestimmtesDatum

Shut down

The task will run when the client shuts down. In the next step you can determine if the task will be executed only once. If you checkmark the correct box, the task will be deactivated after it was executed once.

Hinweis

Note:

Note that upon shut down of the client, the user is logged off first. Other tasks will only run afterwards. This means that all commands that run in the user context will not be executed. It includes all commands in the category Dialogs, as well as Lock manual input, Unlock manual input, Get idle time, Lock workstation, Get/Set default printer and If user is (not) in group.

Start interval

With Start interval, the task will run at a regular interval. This interval starts upon a restart or an update of the client.

The interval can be specified in minutes, hours and days.

4.3.4 - 04-Startintervall

Day of the week

4.3.4 - 05-TagDerWoche

Day of the month

With this option, you can specify one or more days of the month on which the task will run. To do this, checkmark the corresponding days. The reference frame is generally 31 days.

In addition, you can enter a method for the execution of the task. These methods are displayed in this list as well.

If the Run once checkbox is activated, the task will be deactivated after running once. Otherwise the task will continue to run as of the date specified using the selected method.

4.3.4 - 05-TagDesMonats

Time frame

In the time frame dialog, you can define a start time and an end time. With this option, the task will run once every day within the selected time frame.

With the option "Check condition before run" it is also possible to prevent the client task from running outside the time frame. However, this situation may occur when a client task is lined up in the queue but not yet executed due to a lack of resources.

4.3.4 - 06-Zeitrahmen

Hinweis

Note:

If the time frame is used in combination with the "Day of the week", "Day of the month" or "Date" and if the time frame extends beyond a day (e.g. 22:00 to 02:00), the client task will only be executed on this specific date even if the time frame still extends to the next day. Note therefore that the system always first checks the date and only then the time frame.
