Create your own query

To create a new report, select a folder where the report is to be created in the Report Center. Then click on the Add report icon in the quick access toolbar. This opens the dialog box for creating a report. Enter the drives as title. The description consists of a list of all drives of the client.

 

In the next steps select New query as query type and Clients as query base. As query fields, also enter the fields, Drive Label, Drive Free Space and Drive Capacity. These fields are located in the category Operating System -> Logical Drives. Click on the box Sort next to the field Computer name, to list all clients in alphabetical order.

 

As a filter, select the field Computer domain in the category Client -> Workstation. Drag it on to the OR filter. Enter the operator IN and checkmark the option during execution. This means that you will always be asked about the domain of the clients that are to be listed before executing the report.

 

Since the query runs across at least two database tables, you must indicated the data according to which the sorting is to be done. Enter the clients here. You can skip the following safety information. The report will open in the Editor. For this purpose, you will be prompted to enter a domain, from which the data will be collected from the database on the base of which the report will be generated.

 

The following screenshot shows the generated report in the designer. Find at first the obvious sections such as report title, main header, main data and page footer. However, since a client may have several drives, there are also the sections detail head, detail data and detail footer. As the name of these sections suggests, details are listed here. In this case, the drives.

 

8.6.4.1 - Übersicht

 

As in the section Working with the Report Builder it also possible here to count group elements and to create a page header or footer. For example, the existing footer can be supplemented in this way with the current date. In addition, it is possible to display each client with its drives on a separate page.
