Tip:	If you do not define a filter, there will be no results displayed. You will find that this also applies to containers.

The filter option in ACMP enables you to create complex filters in order to determine a certain amount of software without having to manually select them. You can create a filter for the SingleValue Field (), or the MultiValue Field (

Tip:	Please note that the simple negation of MultiValue Field, will not produce the desired results (in most cases). Instead use the comparative operator Except (and) and Except (or).

Basic Components of the Filters

The filter will appear in a single-row, beginning with the button. With this (Add group) you can add more layer to the filter. It will be determined which four filter options you can use as a basis for your filter in the following drop-down-box can be used as:

AND	For the result, all criteria must be met
OR	For the results, at least one of criteria must be true
EXCEPT (AND)	For the results, all criteria combinations should not be met
EXCEPT (OR)

After you have added a field, the name of the field will be displayed as well as a drop-Ddown field for determining the comparison operator and input field for the comparison values. Additionally a field with a cross () will be shown.; with which you can regroup the selected field. With the (Delete entries) button, you can delete the fields / groups.

Tip:

There are 2 wildcards that can be used by the creation of filters.

% - equates to constant sum of random characters

_ - equates to any random character

If your filter should not show entries with an empty field, the filter must be on the field _%

If you put a comparison value in quotation marks ("), you will only be shown results that are available in „the exact value “.

Creating a Filter

After you have dragged the desired field per drag & drop onto the desired field drop here for new filter or group, it will be added to the filter. Via the drag & drop field select the desired comparison operator and enter the comparison values. After you have clicked Next, the result set will be displayed.

Use cases to Filters

All Clients

With the following filter you can display all the clients. For this create a filter with the comparison operator Not similar here, for a single value field. As comparison value enter something that does not appear in this single value field:

With the following filter, you can display all the clients who have not installed a specific software type in a particular version.

Filter - Alle Clients ohne bestimmte Software in bestimmter Version

All Clients who have Installed Software X and Software Y

Tip:	Because with this filter the same Multi Value field for Software X and Software Y is filtered, it is necessary for you to filter the second result set. The intersecting set of both result sets will display the desired clients.

With the following filter, you can display all clients that have installed particular Software X and particular Software Y.

With the following filter, you can display all clients who have not installed particular Software X and particular Software Y.

All Clients who have installed Software X in a Specific Version and Software Y in a Specific

The following filter, enables you to display all clients who have not installed specific Software X in a particular version and specific Software Y in a particular version.

All Clients who have Installed Software X but not Software Y

The following filter enables you to display clients that have not installed specific Software x but not specific Software Y.

All Clients who have Installed Software X but not Software Y OR have Installed Software Y but not Software Z

The following filter enables you to display clients who have installed specific Software X but not Software Y or have installed Software Y but not Software Z.

Filter - Alle Clients mit bestimmter Software X und ohne bestimmte Software Y ODER mit Software Y und ohne Software Z

All Client who have installed Software X in a specific Version or Software Y in a specific Version

The following filter enables you to display all clients that have not installed either specific software X in a particular version or specific Software Y in a particular version.

Filter - Alle Clients mit bestimmter Software X in bestimmter Version oder mit bestimmter Software Y in bestimmter Version

All Clients that have installed the ACMP Agent, excluding Version 5.1

With this filter, you can display all clients that have installed the ACMP Agent in a version that is inequitable to Version 5.1.

Filter - Alle Clients mit ACMP Agent (außer Version 5.1)

All Clients that have the ACMP Agent, except Version 5.0 or 5.1 Installed

With the following filter, all clients that have the ACMP Agent in a version inequitable to Version 5.0 or 5.1 can be displayed.

Filter - Alle Clients mit ACMP Agent (außer Version 5.0 oder 5.1)

All Clients that have the ACMP Agent in Version 5.0 or 5.1 Installed

With the following filter, you can display all clients that have installed the ACMP Agent in Version 5.0 or 5.1.

Filter - Alle Clients mit ACMP Agent Version 5.0 oder ACMP Agent Version 5.1

Multiple use of a Field

The multiple use of a field in an AND-Group is possible however, in most applications it will probably not deliver the correct results.

However, there are also isolated cases where the multiple use of a field leads to the correct results. In the following filter displays all clients that have the ACMP Agent between Version 4 and 6.

Tip:	If you wish to use a field that is in an AND-Group multiply, we recommend that you to examine the result preview precisely to determine whether the results are plausible.
