Notes on the update

Version 1.0.0

Preparation

First turn off all additional ACMP components, if any. These are the following:

ACMP data gateway
ACMP data proxy
ACMP notifier
ACMP AD agent
ACMP AD connector
ACMP WMI scanner
ACMP XML importer
Contact adapter
Container adapter
NBS

Once you have disabled all the components, you can make a backup of the ACMP database. In addition to the data in the database, you should make a backup of the ACMP server directory (%PROGRAMFILES%\ACMP)  . In addition you should also make a backup of the ACMP settings of the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AAGON or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Wow6432Node\SOFTWARE\AAGON) and of any externally stored file repositories.

Please check afterwards whether enough disk space is available for the update. In addition, all other users logged into the ACMP Console should log out. In addition, switch of the virus scanner to ensure the smooth running of the update.

If the update includes a client component, you should ensure in advance of the updates that their update locations are set up correctly and that you have a sufficiently high degree of distribution for the update. In this way you can prevent a sharp increase in the network load during the update. The necessary settings can be made in the ACMP Console in System - Active Update - Configuration as well as System - Distributed file repositories.

Should the ACMP server execute also further tasks in addition to the ACMP service , please ensure that the update is not carried out during full-load hours.
