Asynchronous Architecture

Version 1.0.0

ACMP uses an asynchronous architecture for managing your computer. This means that if you install the ACMP Agent on your computers or execute jobs on one of your computers using the ACMP Agent, these jobs will not be executed immediately, but are first collected in a queue. The jobs in this queue are processed one by one. If the server detects that the relevant computer is not available, e.g. because the computer is shut down, the job remains in the queue and is restarted after a defined interval. This proceduree is repeated until the job is completed or is deleted from the queue by the system administrator. Likewise, orders placed will not be processed immediately if the settings of the server and those of the ACMP Agent are out of sync. Therefore, it may happen that the server issues an order and the computer is informed of it only at a later stage, because the computer only checks the server after a pre-defined time to determine if new jobs are to be processed. This concept guarantees practical stability and response times.
