To install the IIS server in Windows Vista or Windows 7, open the item Add/Remove software or programs from the Control Panel. In the new window you will find the link Add/Remove Windows components.

 

 

Now select the properties Web management tools and World Wide Web services in the item Internet Information Services. You will find the item IIS 6 management compatibility, which you may have to tick separately, in the Web management tools section. The FTP publishing service property is not required for the web interfaces. Then start the installation by clicking OK.
