Do the rollouts

A saved rollout template can applied to all clients that have not been decommissioned, provided that a MAC address has been set up for them. To use a rollout templates for a rollout, you have the following options.

Note:

During the rollout, the Windows auto login is used several times. To ensure that the network is ready, we place a "SyncForegroundPolicy" flag in the "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon" registry.

Warning:

If you have explicitly disabled the "Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon" setting in the GPO, this will be overridden by the "SyncForeGroundPolicy" flag and can lead to errors.

 

Execute a query and select the client(s) where a rollout is to be performed. Right-click to open the contextual menu. From the contextual menu, select Rollout.
Execute a query and select the client(s) where a rollout is to be performed. Now navigate to the rollout templates and click and drag the selected clients to the rollout template being used.
Navigate to the Rollout Templates and mark the rollout template being used. Now select the Rollout menu bar and add one or more clients to the rollout template. If you have already marked clients in a query, they are added directly to the rollout template.

In this window, you can indicate a rollout template and also a product key for the client. Optionally, you can also adjust the computer description.

Note:

If a product key is specified in the rollout template, it will be entered automatically when you select the rollout template. You can override the product key used for the rollout.

 

To add more clients to the rollout, select the command Add clients. (Client_Add). Run a query in the window that opens and select the client to add. Remove an existing client with the command Remove selected client. (Client_Delete).

 

The menu gives you access to three wizards.

 

RolloutTemplate_AssignToAllClients

Assign a rollout template to all clients

Opens a wizard for selecting a rollout template, which is then assigned to the clients selected.

ProductKey

Apply product key to all clients

This wizard is optional. If you do not use a key in a rollout template, you can assign a product key to the client with this wizard directly before the rollout.

Generate computer names

If you want to rollout multiple clients, ACMP can help you name the computers. Here, a prefix and/or suffix is ​​used in combination with a sequential number.

 

Assign a rollout template to all clients

Open the wizard to assign rollout templates. The selected rollout template is assigned to all clients and any existing entries are overwritten.

Note:

If you have set a filter before starting the wizard, the rollout template is assigned only to those clients that are displayed.

This wizard lets you assign a product key to all clients regardless of what has been stored in the rollout template.

Generate computer names

This wizard helps you assign unique computer names during the rollout. To do this, enter a start and end points for a range start and define how many zeros to add. Add name prefixes and suffixes to the computer names being generated. When changing the input field, you will be shown the first computer name generated. After clicking Generate, the new computer names are created and the window closed.

Hinweis

Note:

If the range is smaller than the number of clients chosen for the rollout, computer names will only be generated from the number specified number (top to bottom); the others will keep their current names.
